About Joel
Joel is a genuine, down-to-earth advisor who helps provide clarity in a complicated financial world. He adheres to sound financial philosophy and takes a straightforward and no-nonsense approach to financial planning. He believes in finding strategies designed with a goal to provide the highest probability of reaching the client’s goal.
Joel graduated from the University of Utah in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a Minor in Business. He earned a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional.
It was the client-centered financial planning culture that attracted Joel to Waddell & Reed in 2002 and that same culture inside Wasatch Front Wealth Advisors that is the reason he remains. Joel has served as a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro since 2017.
Joel is a Utah native and lives with his wife, Angie and their 5 children in Holladay. He enjoys skiing, volleyball, playing the drums, gardening, and spending time with his family. He rarely misses a University of Utah football game and enjoys working with youth in his church.
Joel enjoys making connections with his clients and developing a strong long-lasting relationship with the clients that he cares so much about. He is looking for people who are serious about their financial future and want to “win with their money”.
